9. Interview a family member

 9. We are doing our 9th FH Challenge. It has been so fun to think of these and I hope you are getting something from them. Last week's challenge was about ancestors who have been through hard things. Being able to recognize some of the hard things they have been through can help build resilience and empathy.  This week's challenge is going to be to interview a relative who is alive and learn a little more about the hard things they have been through . I might recommend a parent or grandparent or aunt or uncle but it can be anyone that is willing. I have included a list of the questions below. Even if you only ask one or two of these, it will definitely count. You just do your best. It may be a good idea to record the conversation on your phone so you don't have to write all of the answers down while you talk and in that moment. Sometimes you can learn a lot from your loved ones that are dead by asking the people that remember them and preserving your own family stories now.

In addition to our FH challenge, I would like to invite any parent or youth that wants to attend a workshop I'm doing as part of project for my FamilySearch internship. For those who didn't know, I am in school to become a professional genealogist. The event will be on Wednesday June 19th and it would mean the world to have people there.
